I was born with scoliosis (curvature of the spine), but never felt it until I hit my 40's. At age 43, I developed constant left heel pain and hip pain that was occasional, but made me miserable when I had it. I tried all kinds of expensive shoes plus different types of exercise. Nothing helped. I started to limp and felt embarrassed when people stared at me. Then I bought my Z-CoiL sandals. They felt much better than other shoes, but they didn't have enough arch support. I took them back to the store, where they were adjusted to perfection. Goodbye pain.

Now I have the clogs and athletic shoes, which are wonderful. I also have the Mary Janes. They are not as comfortable, but presentable for special occasions. My next purchase will be the hiking shoes, if they are wide enough. What I have found is that you can't insist on a style of Z-CoiL because you like how it looks. You have to try different styles on and get the one that feels the best. Different styles come in different widths. My feet are slightly wide, so I can wear the above-named shoes, but maybe not all Z-CoiL shoes are right for me.

I would like to thank the man who invented the Z-CoiL, and all others who helped to bring them to fruition. You have given me my life back.

My mother works in a blood lab/blood bank in Albuquerque, NM. She got a pair of your shoes about seven to ten years ago and she's never worn another shoe since. She's had countless back surgeries for scoliosis and has a herrington rod permanently affixed to her spine. The shoes alleviated SO MUCH of her pain!

I then decided to try on her shoes. I've had a broken back and fibromyalgia. Bulging disks, low spinal fluid, calcification, and rheumatoid arthritis on top of everything else. In the short time I walked around her house, I felt like a whole new person, capable of walking to a mailbox again. I'm 32 and can only walk with a cane for assistance.

I will be purchasing some of your shoes, and my mother will continue to purchase ONLY your shoes! We can't thank you enough for your heartbreakingly wonderful product. If walking every day was pure hell and someone gave you instant relief, you'd praise them daily. I can't tell you how many people I send to this site on a daily basis, and I don't even have your shoes yet. ...and no, I don't want freebies! *laughing*

Thank you again, and if you want to do anything -- please bring your shoes to Canada! I moved here to marry the man of my dreams and ended up too far from one of your stores for fitting!!!

I have several congenital birth defects. The worst is my feet. Both of my feet were so badly clubbed, the big toes and index toes rubbed my heels. Consequently I had three corrective surgeries on each foot. Next, muscle grafts were added to my Achilles tendons on both legs. Then both legs were broken below the knees and reset, as they rotated in. My pelvis and hips also rotate in. I spent years in hip casts and braces to help correct the anomalies. I was a patient of the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children for 19 years. I had a total of 24 corrective surgeries.

As a result of the birth defects, I have slight scoliosis. Three discs in my lower back are herniated, along with two in my neck. Walking and running have been very painful for years, so much so that I took 2000 mg of Naproxen daily, plus other pain-relief medications.

I have had my Z-CoiL shoes for two months, [and] . . . I have not had 2000 mg of Naproxen total in two months. I walk two miles daily and that is building. I've lost 15 lbs. without making any other change, such as diet. I am a living testimonial that these shoes really work!

I bought two pairs: one pair of sandals and one of tennis shoes. I have given all of my other womens shoes away and don't give a flip that they look orthopedic. They are real conversation starters! I've been able to refer a lot of people to these shoes and everyone loves them. Next I will be purchasing a pair of clogs for dress wear. I'm sold. I'll never go back to pretty shoes again. It's not worth the pain.

The very best thing next to being almost completely pain-free is I no longer need help setting up my face-painting booth at local carnivals, fairs, and art shows. I can now paint my windows and signs without experiencing a week of agony after a day of painting.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!
